We helped a married couple whose children had left home sell Keizersgracht 570 A in Amsterdam. After around thirty years, the property had become too large for them and they were ready for somewhere new. We sold the property for well above the asking price.
Preparation was an important part of the process. After thirty years, a home holds many memories and personal belongings. We brought in a home styling specialist to advise the owners on presenting the property for sale. Her advice helped bring out the space and character of the canal house.
We also guided them through the purchase of their next home. This allowed us to consider both steps together, with attention to leaving a familiar home behind and their wishes for a new one.
Our connection to this neighbourhood is personal. Joris lived just around the corner on Prinsengracht for four years and knows the area first-hand. He also has a particular interest in stately canal houses and their history.
This assignment brought together local knowledge, attention to presentation and personal guidance, from the sale on Keizersgracht to the purchase of a new home.
